   Glaukodote forms the short-prismatic crystals of rhombic habitus. Colors them stannum (tin)-white, size to 4 sm, crystals single solo or paired twin (duplex). There can be massive accumulations.

   Diagnostic indication.

   We will dissolve in an aquafortis. At heating publishes a garlicky smell (arsenic).

   Origin provenance genesis.

   Be found together with other minerals of cobalt. There are transitional forms with cobaltite.

   Deposit minefield mine field occurrence subsoil.

   Discovered in Khakansbo in Sweden, in an association with cobaltite and chalcopyrite. Glaukodote is present on a deposit Summit in the state Oregon (USA), in area of Atakama in Chile, in Oravica (Romania, EU), Mount Wilson and Dundas in Tasmania, in Kolde-Lotare in France.
